Useful was a first-of-its-kind mobile platform for geo-dispersed field service workers. As CEO and Founder, Jay Crain launched a startup to address an opportunity he saw for this at-the-time untapped billion dollar industry to take advantage of the benefits of mobile apps.

PRODUCT DESIGN

The Useful app modernized and streamlined workflows for field service workers, offering real time insights that tracked time, materials
and expense. It also reduced errors onsite, and expedited payment for owners. Hand written notes on yellow legal pads were replaced with an intuitive interface offering tappable cards and dashboards— and giving each user just the information they needed to get the job done. 

BRANDING 

The Useful brand was bright, with colors that tied back meaningfully to different app functions. Each was tested and finalized to ensure readability outside in the bright sunlight where our users were most frequently working.  A comprehensive brand was created with a Being Us guide  to communicate it all, including the culture for the people who worked there. 

 

MARKETING

Campaigns focused on the real benefits to be gained from "Quitting Paperwork."  Social media, SEO, and digital marketing were leveraged to lead prospects to download content, creating a multi-million dollar pipeline and thousands of conversions.
